xoxo

I can't get enough of this Hero Arts background. When I first saw it I kind of giggled thinking when on earth would I even use this stamp...then all I could do is see so many cards I could make with it!!! heres one of the many for you to check out!!

The possibilities are endless!! I decided my first cack at it would be a valentines day card...seeing as thats just right around the corner. And have been waiting to use that Lawn Fawn xoxo die! Just so much fun together!!

Hope you're having a  great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

kindness

Just love the simplicity of this card! I made it for my upcoming glass this month I'm doing and it was also in all my teacher gift pkgs…

I ended up doing a little masking for this card when I added the detailed part of the butterfly…you can see I had just stamped the peach colour right over the purple, but for the detailed part I had cut out the top wing of the smaller butterfly and placed it on then stamped the details on the purple one!  I also used ombre inks for this card. Just another great way how versatile they are! Having the 3 colours in one!! Added the sentiment and of course a little wink of stella on the butterfly details and called it good!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Poinsettia happy holidays

In every holiday card bundle there has to be a classic!! So heres my classic to share with you!

Don't you just love those poinsettia from hero arts (it was from their october kit they put out). Just stunning and I didn't even do anything over the top special! Used the inks from the kit stamped them then used the coordinating dies!

Also a big Happy Thanks Giving today to all my American card makers out there!! Happiest of holidays to you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

distress ink merry christmas

Well I'm back to day with a few spare moments and a card!! Pretty good combo if you ask me (or anyone who's home with young kids I'm sure)

When I started this card all I know is that I wanted to use these 3 colours (cracked pistachio, peacock feathers and twisted citron) All I can say is I fell in love and made more. For this card I used the acetate technique to get the colour on then added some colour splatters. By far my favourite look! I also tried direct paint onto water colour paper and and actual ink blending. They all have their own unique look but I really do just love this one! A little messy with lots of texture.

Before I did any of the water colouring I first heat embossed the merry in white so it would resist the ink! Once i got the card how I wanted it (and it was dry) I added the christmas. Threw on some snowflakes I had on my table and of course some pretty pink posh goodness. After it was all said and done felt like something was missing so I added a small strip of silver paper adhered it to the card front and there you have it!!

Thanks all for today! Hope you enjoyed!

Merry

Hello again!! And welcome here! So if any of you follow me on instagram  I put up a couple days ago some backgrounds I was working on with embossing paste an awesome Echopark Paper stencil and of course my favourite inks for some added fun from Wplus9. Heres how they turned out!!

Heres the collection of 6 I made!! Think there might be more in the works! Maybe try out some other holiday word dies for kicks!!

These two I think are my favourite colour I made…however they are all lovely! And I tend to be on the more non tradition side of Christmas cards!

And heres a closer look at them. I stacked up the Merry dies with 3 die cuts of course added some wink of stella then covered it in glossy accents. The scribble behind the merry is from Papertrey ink. Once I had ti all together I knew that there was still a little something  missing…so out came the Pretty Pink Posh sequins, I used the 4mm sparkling clear cup side down so they looked more like gems. Got that trick from Jennifer McGuire!

These are my cards for today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

wishing

While I was away on vacation I was able to craft with a couple of my favourite people!!! Was so nice to be together and create away! Thankfully we can text now a days and its kinda like being together!! Heres one of the creations I made!

My original thought with this background stamp was to water colour…till we were all sitting around the table with "limited" supplies and non of us had brought any versa mark, embossing powered or the heat gun for that matter…so Had dot take a different approach! Stamped this bad boy in some ranger archival ink and did some ink blending. The inks used for this card are PTI…wanted to try them out as I don't own any! And they blend very lovely together….Cause the background is so busy wanted to keep the rest of the card simple…wrapped the card front in some vellum and stamped the sentiment on it…then die cut wishing a few things to make it pop up a bit. Of course there needed to be some sequins on there to just for a bit of shimmer!!

It was an easy card that came together. I did another one exactly the same but used the sending die and a different sentiment instead!!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for popping in!
