Retro Sketches 56

Yes this is my second post for today...but I had this card and wanted to get the sketch in on time. What can I say?? I'm enjoying these fun challenges over the past week! I thought my mojo was gone then I look around and yet another creation to be made!!!

So this card challenge is from the Retro Sketches blog I came across while doing the ColorQ challenge in my previous post!! I really like this sketch too and thought I could pull out some fun textured things..well 1 textured material anyway! I bought this burlap and its been on my desk staring at me! Was so happy to finally use some of it!!!

So again Happy Easter to you all!! I promise no more posts today!!!!

Mothers Day!

Hey everyone and happy Friday to you!! Todays card is for a couple of challenges with the first one being for Clean and Simple blog FTL 234..this week is my first ever to be a contributor to the blog (other than in my own time) so make sure to swing on by there!!! Secondly I decided to partake in the ColorQ 182 challenge for the first time ever too! Thought I would continue with the firsts :)

I also decided to try something a little different for me...I wanted to keep it simple but wanted there to be the portion in the middle with a little bit of texture. So first off I stamped the Happy Mothers Day then used versa mark and clear embossing powder of top. Just a nice little subtle detail there!! Also for whatever reason I've been into making my own flowers! I like the way they look!!

Anyway thats all for now! Hope you all have a great Easter weekend!!! We are just starting our spring break here with the kids! Enjoying the great outdoors and wonderful weather!!

Thanks for stopping by

Last week I received a request to make a superhero birthday card for a little mans birthday! Needed to have Spiderman Superman the Flash Green Lantern and most importantly Batman! Because I'm sure every kid has their fav! My middle guys is Green Lantern all the way :)

So the challenge was on to somehow come up with these superheros...I looked around online and found a really cute one using the SU owl punch but that is something I don't yet have in my collection...yes for some of you I know this is hard to believe!

But I did find some cute downloads! I was able to adjust the size to make them fit my needs of the card!! I'm loving how it all turned out! Makes me want to throw a superhero party now for my boys!!

Anyway Hope you enjoy!!!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Seize the Birthday #11

Came across this fun challenge the other day...had never seen it before but have seen some of the cards that have come from it!! So Again to ring in the new blog I thought I would do a new challenge for the first time ever!! Go and check it out for yourself and join in on the fun!!!!

For this card after I saw the sketch I had a vision of doing it inside out in a sense...I wanted to have the words lower than the rest of the card. So I bumped up the circle stamped paper to give it that look!! Of course I had to add the rhinestones cause its just not a card without them!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!!

And so it begins

Well the time has come when I've finally decided to put together a blog dedicated to my crafty side!! And I couldn't think of a better blog name than "just another card making blog" cause really...there are many out there (and now I don't feel left out)!!

Another reason for this blog is I was just asked to be a contributor for the Clean and Simple  Blog which I am very excited about and honestly do most of the challenges when I can anyway!! So it will be even more exciting being part!!

Other than that...heres a look into my current working arrangements! We have moved into a new house (well back in August) and gutted our basement right down to the studs which also included my one day card making studio! So for now till that is complete my wonderful husband has let me set up shop in our bedroom on a fold out that man...especially as the table is on his side of the bed! I think he always has paper scraps in his cloths!!! :)

Happy crafting everyone!!! And thanks for stopping by!!
