Mothers day Begins!

When I was making this card I wanted it to have a soft and serene feel to it as well as some hints of trendy. Not to sure if I fully succeeded, you can be the judge of that I suppose!

The trendy aspect of this card is from the Wplus9 trend watch challenge. I did a little misting and used some really tiny and soft looking sequins as well as I white heat embossed the feathers on water colour paper then did a little water colouring over top!

The colour combo is from this weeks Colour Me…! challenge. This is the reason for the soft and serene look to the card!!

And thirdly I used the Retro Sketches challenge which is where the tag on the card came to be!

Hope you all had a great weekend!!!!

Step Up

I had a little more time in my craft room today and came up with this card for the Wplus9 challenge…as I've mentioned before I love this letter press look so I did it again but on velum to add another texture to the card!!

I'm also a little obsessed with splatter today too! Everything I've made has had some on it!!!
Anyway thanks so much for stopping by!

beautiful goodbye!

Where to start….I must say I really like this card!! I went over to the CAS-ual Friday blog looked at the challenge and wasn't to sure what I should do. So I dug through my stamps and saw this flower one, one of my favs for sure, then I saw the sentiment that is with this set as well!! I knew it was meant to be. Was still lacking a little inspiration so I went on over to the Colour Me…! blog to see what their challenge was this week. After that this card came together beautifully!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Wplus9 Challenges!

Happy weekend everyone! I've had a busy couple of weeks with my son having some major surgery so today is the first day in a while I've been able to get back at it. And I figured why not pull out my Wplus9 goodies and attempt the challenges on the blog!!!

The first challenge is the "step it up" challenge where the focus is adding dimension. So for this card I heat embossed the background in white to keep it clean and simple then bumped up the banner and of course added some sequins…how could it not have some sequins! And I finished it off by adding some shimmer mist which is pretty heard to see in the picture!!

The next challenge is the "spotlight challenge" which I'm not 100% sure I did correctly!! But I wanted to do the letter press background and keep with my anniversary themed cards!  So for the background I used the xoxo die. Can I just say how much I LOVE the letter press look!!! A fun and easy way to add some dimension to the card with using other tools in my drawer!!

Well that is all for today!! Hope everyone is doing great!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

past invitations

I want to share some wedding invitations I've done in the past…I don't have many on here and its one of my fav things to do!!!!

This was the last wedding I did before we moved west!! I love the fall colours and its simple with a touch of elegance!!!!

This one had a lot of small details that were hard to fully capture in the pic!! The white embossed trees have a spot of glitter on them too!! This wedding i actually attended and was so happy that I was able to make the invitations be the first view of her beautiful winter wedding!

I had so much help from the bride and groom when I made these invites!! I had a blast with them! And it was fun to have so much leeway with a design for her!!

This was a fun style for me!! Having it open up twice!! Each time you opened it up there was a new little surprise for you!

I love sitting down with brides and creating their perfect invitation!!! Thanks to these lovely ladies for letting me a part of their special day!!!!
